A Visit

Mom & Dad just left this morning after a short visit to Calgary. I just love hangin' out with those guys!! It's an amazing thing, to me, that a relationship can grow and change so much in a person's life. My parents have become mine & Kent's best friends and we enjoy their company so much. I still respect and honour them as "parents", but they are truly so much more than that. We can openly share our hearts, discuss "big ideas", and agree to disagree on some topics. We also have the unique connection of sharing the same family members and loving them together... not to mention our trust and faith in Jesus that we can talk about and grow together in.

I'm so glad we don't live TOO far away... they come to visit a couple times a year and we try to visit them in BC once or twice a year as well. It works well, but I certainly wouldn't complain if they moved a little closer ;-)
