I figured it out!

So, apparently my big excuse for not exercising is very simple. I don't want to get sweaty and have to wash my hair every day!!! This leaves me with two choices: Stay fat and wash my hair every other day OR Get fit and wash my hair every day I've decided to just go ahead and wash my hair every day! LOL That was easy :-) Worked out last night with the girls and felt GREAT for doing it. So far my favourite DVD workout instructor is Miranda Esmond White http://www.classicalstretch.com/index.html She is so "real" and tells you how to do the stretches and how NOT to do them as well! I realize I will have to add some cardio to her "classical stretching" videos but Laura's already taken care of that. We have kick boxing, cardio dance, and other intense videos to work through. Of course, when I take the time to work out (AND wash my hair!!!) it makes me more conscious and careful about what goes in the cake hole, too. Hopefully I will start losing some weight and feeling great!!

Well done Lisa...I'm determined to lose my baby belly too...but then those cookies are determined to get in my mouth!! aacckckkc.....what's a girl to do!?!?

Actually, I told Stef last night that if he wants cookies, he has to buy them and hide them...sad eh?

Aw, you don't actually have to give up everything just take it in in moderation. I'm with you on the hair washing business Lisa but I manage to do my everyday exercises without getting too sweaty (don't worry I'm working hard enough) and just wash my hair when I do the intense cardio routine! It's a good balance for me.

Heather - talk about sabotage!! Yesterday we found two containers of Christmas baking that we didn't even know were there!! ACK!

Elise - yeah, the stretching sure works the muscles without the heavy breathing LOL. It's the cardio stuff that definitely requires a thorough hair-washing afterwards :-)

I think half the battle for working out is just making it a priority. It helps that my girls are on board with me... work-out buddies are the best.

Keep it up, my friends. We can do this!!!

Okay, I just re-read my comment. The Christmas baking was in the FREEZER so it's all good! LOL

I followed your blog from Heather's, and got a good chuckle out of this post. I want so badly to start exercising, but I HATE washing my hair everyday. We'll see if I can get motivated to do both, as I need the exercise.
