WARNING: All motorcycle post!!!
This week Anna & I did our motorcycle training at Too Cool Motorcycle School! This was one of the most difficult things I've ever done as I had to overcome many fears, physical restrictions, cold weather, and a HUGE learning curve but I am so glad I did this.
Our class was Monday - Thursday from 6 - 10:30pm every night. Did you catch that? FOUR and a half hours of riding four nights in a row!!! After the first night I was SO nervous to go back and after the second night I was ready to quit... it was just too hard and I made many mistakes. Thanks to the encouragement of friends and family, I went back and totally rocked it on the third night! On Thursday it snowed in the afternoon but Thursday night we actually did a road ride with 15 students and 3 instructors riding all through Calgary, stopping for coffee then riding back to the school. I DID IT!!!
Now I need to practice on the Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800 affectionately known around here as "Hopper". Once I'm confident on this bigger cruiser I'll take my Class 6 road test and be a bonafide motorcyclist.
One big lesson I learned this month is that it is so important to always stretch yourself and keep learning and growing. Whether it's spiritually, mentally, emotionally or physically... do the hard things and keep pressing on. It is totally worth it.
