Day 6

Today was a full day of total relaxation - not like the rest of our days have been busy or anything, but this was intentional relaxing.

Began the day sleeping in. Kent & I had breakfast by ourselves since we were hungry before the girls woke up :-)

Most of the day was spent by the pool working hard on our tans. We pretty much over-did it, though and a few of us are on the "burnt" side.

A guy with a snake walked around the pool areas offering to take pics. As you can see, only Kent & Emily were brave enough to "snake snuggle"! It was fun to watch them. Laura & I managed to pet her but that was as much interaction as we were interested in.

Octopus - before he turned red and swam into a cave
After a nice buffet dinner we went back to our rooms, put on our suits, and walked down to the beach. Since the sun had just set there weren't very many people so we explored the limestone jetty area. Kent & Anna found an octopus and later, we all saw a black & yellow eel in the tidal pools. Emily was poking at the water where the eel was mostly hiding and it came slithering out of it's hole and "attacked" her stick! Right at that moment a swoosh of water filled his tidal pool so he came VERY close to our feet. CREEPY! From now on, when I snorkel, I will stay far away from holes in rocks.
