1 Samuel chapters 1 - 3

Tonight was my first official night of a Precept Bible Study class. I've been studying all week and almost got all my homework done. I was about 2 hours shy of getting it completed, but I sure learned alot and LOVED it!!! Studying God's word brings so much reward and blessing :-) I've been challenged in a few different ways through the study as well as through our Sunday morning teaching through the book of James. Things I'm learning: - When I ask for wisdom I need to ask with faith and with the intention of following through with whatever it is God is requiring of me. This will bring joy!! - It's also been interesting to study the life of Eli (in the first 3 chapters of Samuel) in light of his parenting skills (or lack thereof). I encourage you to check it out and see what I'm talking about. - I need to make spending time in the Word a priority and set aside time in my schedule to make it happen. I need to keep distractions at bay and stay focused. - God rewards those who diligently seek Him!!! Well, it's time for a quick stretching work-out then off to bed for a good night's sleep and a full day of work tomorrow!
