What a wonderful last day in Disneyland. *sigh* Today we decided to leave Ride Max at home and just savour the moments at the parks as they happened. That turned out to be a very good
decision. Here are a few of today's experiences:
- Magic Morning Early Entry today. This means we were in the park an hour before the general public. We were at the gates about 40 minutes before they opened and, with a little bit of fast walking / light jogging, were able to catch the FIRST SUB at Finding Nemo!!! This was our first time on this ride as the lineups are incredibly long unless you can be in the first "batch" of people. We felt very proud of this super-human feat!!!
Us four "big kids" walked right on to Space Mountain with no wait at all. That is one FANTASTIC roller coaster.... totally in the dark with just lasers and loud music surrounding you. I LOVE it but can only go on once a day (and yes, my neck is killing me but I think it was worth it!!).
- Kent & Emily scored another Dream FastPass. That makes a total of two days of winning for all 5 of us plus Kent & Emily's win today. I guess that makes us WINNERS!!!
- Laura and Anna were thrilled to finally meet Mulan and Princess Aurora. Poor Aurora had a cold (those princesses cough so delicately!) and Ariel confessed to the girls that, "it's been a long morning!" with a little knowing wink in her eye. I think she was glad to have big "princesses" to chat with for a moment instead of all the little 4 and 5 year old "princesses".
- We stopped Alice in Wonderland as she was running through the park and grabbed an autograph and photo.
We also had a lovely little chat with the Fairy Godmother. She was on her way to her regular "tea on Tuesday with the Toothfairy". She also confessed to us that she was a little miffed that, "I just know the Toothfairy will have no money and I will have to pay for both of us. She NEVER has any money with her on Tuesdays because she only goes to the bank on Wednesdays!". LOL Oh, when we told her we live in Calgary, her face lit up and she exclaimed, "The Calgary Stampede!!! I LOVE it. My favourite is the chuck wagon races. When the chucks don't make it all the way around the track is my favourite." Hmmmmm, a dark side to the Fairy Godmother, maybe?
We spent a couple hours at California Adventure and saw Woody, Kent & Anna went on the big roller coaster, we had lunch at the Pacific Pier (really neat place), had a tour of the sourdough bread factory.
- Our last ride at Disneyland was Splash Mountain and we had a BLAST!! As our ride ended, there just happened to be no one in the queue so we just stayed on and went around a second time. Needless to say, we were absolutely DRENCHED when we got off the ride. Thankfully it was our last one so we grabbed our hoodies and walked back to the hotel for a refreshing swim and a dip in the hot tub.

Wow, what a fabulous ending to a fabulous vacation. I know you had a great time this past week and I can't wait for a FULL photographic display of all the things you did!
I hope you have a great flight today!
