Disneyland - Day 4

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KENT!!! We stopped at City Hall on Mainstreet last night and picked up a big button that says Happy Birthday, Kent. We were at California Adventure park this morning and so many people have been wishing him a great day - I think he feels very special today :-)

We decided to come back to the hotel this afternoon from 2:30 - 7:00 or so 'cause it is SO stinkin' HOT outside!!! We are absolutely going to freeze to death when we get back home! LOL We're not complaining, but are definitely finding it difficult to stay cool enough. Lots of water, wet bandanas and the Grizzly River Run got us soaked so that was really nice!

My favourite things at DCA (Disney's California Adventure) are:

• Toy Story Mania - what a totally fun experience. It's a virtual 3-d old fashioned midway with all the Toy Story gang. Almost impossible to explain but an incredible ride that I hope to go on at least once more while we're here.
• It's Tough to Be a Bug - a 4-d movie experience. Here we not only "watched" what it's like to be a bug, but got to fully experience it!! From being swatted by a fly-swatter (feeling the "swoosh" of the swat), to being stung by a wasp (we were literally poked in the back!), to smelling the stinkbug (Ewwwww!!!), to being bombed with Raid, to being sprayed by the acid beetle, to having bugs crawling behind us as they exited the theatre first (this was SO hilarious!!! As you sit on the bench all of a sudden you can feel little "lumps" moving under your butt! People were jumping up screaming - I just laughed my guts out!!)
• We saw CINDERELLA!!! She is so pretty and nice :-) Emily got her autograph and she called me Queen, Kent the King, and our girls the Princesses. How sweet.
• We saw how they make tortillas at the Mission Tortilla Factory. We all got a sample and then the guy gave Kent a whole package (about 15 tortillas!) to take home :-) Yummy.

Well, I better get making some supper before we head out again to the Disneyland Park for some more rides, maybe another round of fireworks, and a trip on the Monorail.
