General stuff

Well, it's been awhile since I blogged here... guess I've been busy. The weight loss is going well... slow & steady wins the race, says I. Still going to Curves 3 times a week but the eating habits are not as consistent as I'd like. I just seem to have very little self-discipline when it comes to cookies, cakes, and all things fattening!! Of course, starting a Pampered Chef business (www.pamperedchef.biz/happyalbertan ) probably isn't helping much - all that baking and "testing"!! We finally got out to do some geocaching today. It's my first time since last year so it felt good to get under those bushes and dig around for cheap "treasure"!! LOL Seriously, I love it. I had to drag the family out (the novelty has definitely worn off for them) but they humoured me and came along for the ride. Actually, Kent & Emily were the ones who actually discovered the two caches today. I'm sure having fun with my new Pampered Chef business. I'm enjoying the training, the paperwork, meeting new people, the cooking shows, and I just got my first commission cheque yesterday!!! SWEET!!! I'm hoping to buy a whole set of pots & pans (lifetime warranty!) to replace my mish-mash set of hand-me-downs and Superstore brands. Hey, maybe by the time my kids are all grown and move out of the house I'll finally have the kitchen I've always dreamed about! LOL Life's funny that way, isn't it?
